Paper 3
Paper 3 is laboratory based. Follow instructions, collect an appropriate range of data, record observations immediately, plot accurately and evaluate the actual method and results.
Paper 5
Paper 5 assesses planning, analysis and evaluation in written form. Specify a workable method, control variables, address safety, linearise relationships, calculate uncertainties and interpret supplied data.
Final checks
Check every table and graph heading has a unit, raw precision is consistent, gradient triangles are large, significant figures are justified, and limitations are paired with improvements.

Calculate requires working and a value; determine uses available information; explain gives linked reasons; justify supports a choice with evidence; suggest applies practical judgement to the stated context.
